Walking Washington DC

Posted on

It’s our last day here in Washington.  Home tomorrow!  I love vacations, but I’m always ready to go home.  Most people think I’m nuts when I tell them that, but I just like being home.

We did had a fabulous time, and the weather was great.  Not too hot or too cold.  Everything is blooming here and it’s just beautiful.  We did all the touristy things – Monuments, Memorials, Museums.   It’s definitely a walking city.  And my legs can tell you that I’m NOT from a walking city!  Woowie they hurt! ha!

Here are just a few more pictures of the hundred I have!  Enjoy.

What I Learned Today

Posted on

This will be short and sweet today.  Still on vacation.   We are in Washington DC for our spring break.  We have done and seen oodles!  I have so many pictures, but I thought I would share with you the things I learned today.

Today I learned you should keep your teeth in your mouth (or in your pocket!) so not to leave them on the subway. Good advice!

Today I learned that my boy CAN smile! And it’s amazing!

Today I learned that in an emergency you may exit the cab through this door. Or is it the window?

Today I learned that George Washington was a DIY-er!!!

Today I learned that my kids really are cute and wonderful even when I have wondered at times why I didn’t leave them home with Uncle Bro! (Brett) ; )

Today I learned how BEAUTIFUL Mt. Vernon (and Virginia) is!

Today I learned that I need way more exercise because this gorgeous stairway nearly killed me.

I am Where?

Spring break is here and we are… where?  Can you guess where we are?

This is our first day of our Spring Break vacation.  We have spent 7 hours walking around seeing the sights.  Now we are all flopped on our hotel beds, doing our own thing, exhausted!

It’s amazing how four people can be in one hotel room and it be so quiet.  (at the moment anyway!)  I’M NOT COMPLAINING!  Of course it’s much like home.  In my house with two floors and multiple rooms, wherever mom is, then that is where the family is.  I don’t know why they like me so much!  I’m really not that nice.  Ha!
